Client Lancashire Learning Disability Consortium Brief To produce a 15 minute film to encourage people to consider a career in supporting people with learning difficulties in Lancashire. We were also asked to produce a shorter version of the film to be used and shown at events and meetings. Film Production Filming took place over a 2 month period - capturing many aspects of care delivered by three different care providers working together to produce the film. All 3 organisations took an active part in the planning of the film and set up a group of carers and service users to plan the film and produce supporting printed information to accompany the DVD. All the footage was of carers and service users with 2 carers and one service user doing the voice-over for the film. Also role plays were carried out - an example of this was Robert (service user) interviewing Richard (his carer). Outcome The film was launched in April 2008 after a consultation viewing with 120 people from the Blackpool area. |
